Program Council


Thursday, July 9 at 7pm

The Program Council is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Congregation through the committees, communication across committees, providing support to fellow committee members, coordinating mutual activities, and organizing volunteers and contractual services to assist in the accomplishment of its activities within the scope of the budget as approved by the Board.

The Program Council meets monthly on the second Thursday of the month at 7pm via Google Meets.

Outdoor UUMANs - Hike and Lunch

  • Cost: parking is free, lunch is on your own
  • Gather at Vickery Creek Park Trail parking lot, Roswell (type into Google Maps: 95 Mill St, Roswell GA) - the hike begins at 10, so arrive a bit early!
  • Brief Description of Trip: We will hike for about 1 1/2 hours, so we will choose a shorter trail within the network.This is a lovely, 5+ mile network of trails that includes waterfalls, Civil War mill ruins, a covered bridge, and plenty of adventure for all ages on this inaugural Outdoor UUMANs adventure! Note - there are stairs and unpaved trails on this hike. Following the hike, we'll meet up at Moxie Burger, just up the hill you drove down to get to the Vickery Creek Park Trail parking lot! They have vegetarian and gluten-free options.  
  • Trip Rating: easy to moderate
  • No age restriction; parents / guardians are responsible for the safety of their children!
  • Each person should have enough water, adequate foot protection, sunscreen, bug repellant.
