Summer Solstice Picnic

3:00 - 7:00PM
Offsite - Azalea Park
Dear Friends,
The Earth Ministry invites you to join us as we celebrate the Summer Solstice with an afternoon of fellowship, food, and fun outdoors!
Date: Saturday, June 20
Time: 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Location: Azalea Park
203 Azalea Dr
Roswell, GA 30075
We have reserved the pavilion and will be gathering for a potluck picnic. The church will provide hamburgers and hot dogs, along with buns, in both meat and meatless options. Our volunteer grillmeisters will begin grilling around 3:00 PM, so food will be available throughout the afternoon.
Please RSVP using the SignUpGenius link below and sign up for a dish or item to bring:
https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050E49ABAB28A3FD0-64202970-summer
When you RSVP, please indicate:
• Whether you plan to attend
• How many people will be coming with you
• Whether you would like whether you prefer meat or meatless options.
This information is important so we can purchase the right amount of food and make sure we have enough meat and meatless options for everyone.
The SignUpGenius includes a variety of ways to contribute, including side dishes, desserts, drinks, condiments, burger toppings, and other picnic favorites. Please choose whatever appeals to you! Because we'll be gathering outdoors with no access to electricity, foods that can be served cold or at room temperature are especially appreciated. If your dish requires a serving utensil, please remember to bring one.
As this event is being organized by the Earth Ministry, we are striving to create as little waste as possible. We encourage everyone to bring their own reusable plate, cup, cutlery, napkin, and water bottle if possible.
Feel free to bring lawn games and outdoor activities such as frisbees, bubbles, cornhole, and other family-friendly outdoor fun. If you prefer additional seating, you are also welcome to bring a folding chair.
For those interested in spending time on the river, kayaks are available for rent through Nantahala Outdoor Center, located at the park. Rentals and river access are subject to weather conditions and water releases from the upstream dam. If water has recently been released, kayaking may not be permitted.

The pavilion is covered, so we will have shelter from the sun and light rain. Since this is Georgia in June, we also recommend bringing sunscreen, hats, and plenty of water to stay comfortable.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome at the park, so feel free to bring your canine companions if you wish.
We hope you'll join us as we celebrate the abundance of the season, enjoy good food, and spend time together.
Looking forward to celebrating with you,
The Earth Ministry
